Note: new players to Changeling are wonderful for inspiration. When Mike asked about whether his chameleon pooka could, in human form, use his tongue like a whip, this art was born!

This is the Art of Pooka, which allows a pooka to use his/her Animal Affinity in interesting and varied ways. This art may only be used upon the pooka's self, via the Fae realm. This art may also use Scene, but will only affect a group of pooka who have the same exact Animal Affinity as the caster. Another limitation on this Art comes from the Shapechanging birthright - a pooka must be completely alone when making alterations due to this Art. All cantrips below have a duration of one scene.

Caghlaa

Type: Chimerical

While in "human" (changeling) form, a pooka casting this cantrip may manifest some aspects of his/her animal mien (at human scale) - one aspect per success.

Some examples:

• Chameleon: skin color can change to match natural backgrounds
• Eagle: usable wings, strong and big enough for the human-form pooka to fly
• Elephant: trunk - smaller than a regular elephant's (remember, human scale), but can still pick up peanuts
• Frog: frog tongue on a human scale - could even catch birds or grab a favorite mug from a top shelf
• Goldfish: usable gills
• Wolf: muzzle - got sharp teeth now

The changes manifest chimerically unless the cantrip is cast as Wyrd.

Cambireme

Type: Wyrd

Allows the pooka to change into a human-size variant of his/her animal form. This doesn't do much good for the Gorilla pooka, but "That's the biggest damn cockroach I every saw!"

Cumasach

Type: Chimerical

As Caghlaa, except the pooka can use these abilities at supernatural levels in either animal or human form. The maximum power of the ability is twice the natural level, which is considered to be a 1-dot increase in any Attribute or Ability.

Examples:

• Chameleon: skin change to any color/pattern (including plaid)
• Eagle: can fly at twice normal speeds, or maneuver twice as well
• Frog: can use tongue like a rope to swing on, or like a whip to attack (at Strength+0 damage dice)
• Wolf: +1 to Stamina to determine how long he/she can run without tiring

Briseadh

Type: Chimerical

As Cumasach, but the pooka may also transform the ability in a related way.

Examples:

• any animal: could breath underwater
• Chameleon: skin could glow like a beacon
• Elephant: trunk could cleanse the air of teargas
• Goldfish: could swim in air
• Scorpion: poison could be a truth serum instead

Meigeachumhacht

Type: Wyrd

Allows a pooka in animal form to take on mythic attributes of that animal in an extant story. This means that the player must show his/her storyteller a relevant story to use, or the character must discover a story in-game. All stories are subject to storyteller approval.
